Dana Sun is a Principal at the Laerdal Million Lives Fund, a healthcare venture capital firm investing in early stage medical device, digital health, and tech-enabled services companies that maximize life-saving impact around the world. At the Million Lives Fund, Dana focuses on emergency & critical care, maternal & infant health, and medical education & clinical workforce development. Previously, she was a healthcare investor at OCA Ventures, a Chicago-based Seed & Series A stage VC firm. Prior to transitioning into venture, Dana helped incubate startups at 87 (venture studio arm of Sterling Partners), worked in strategic finance at Genentech, and did management consulting with payer & provider clients at Accenture. Dana earned her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and her BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
