In 2016, Dr. Karp launched the SNOO Smart Sleeper, a responsive bassinet created in collaboration with MIT engineers. The bed provides continuous womb-like sound/motion to improve sleep over the first 6 months of life. The bed responds to fussing with 4 incrementally increasing levels of motion/sound, often calming crying in under 1-minute. SNOO is FDA de novo authorized to prevent dangerous rolling during sleep. Dr. Karp is also a nationally recognized advocate for children's environment health.
