Kathryne Cooper, MBA is General Partner at Jumpstart Nova, the institutional strategic seed fund of Jumpstart Health Investors.
Previously, Kathryne co-directed the largest medical technology accelerator backed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), The Consortium for Technology & Innovation in Pediatrics. She authored seminal research on health care venture investment for the California Health Care Foundation, later implemented by the American Medical Association. Kathryne’s personal and professional journey in entrepreneurship and venture capital are the subjects of award winning case studies taught at universities worldwide.
Kathryne holds a BA in Human Biology from Stanford University, an MBA from the University of Southern California (USC), Marshall School of Business and a Certificate in Venture Capital Finance from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. She began her career in medical school at USC before transitioning to the business side of healthcare.
Kathryne serves on the boards of the Los Angeles Venture Association, Plug In Ventures and the Bertran F. Cooper, M.D. Scholarship Fund via the Howard University College of Medicine.
